She looks down at the dress.

Alexis: Well, we really haven't been on a real date up here yet....

She looks back at Alex, giving him the same look she had before the Nana interruption.

Alexis: And maybe afterwards....

Alex: Good.... but since you look so lovely.... I'd better smarten up too.... don't want you to be seen out on the town with some bum..... I'll "pick you up" in a little while.

Alex gives her a peck on the cheek and goes into his room slamming the door shut. He has phone calls to make. 30 minutes later there's a knock on the apartment door.

Voice: Delivery for Alexis O'Ryan.

She peeks through the peephole at the delivery man, then cracks open the door.

Alexis: I'm Alexis....

The delivery man hands Alexis two dozen red roses and a note which reads.

"Sorry for the delay, unfortunately I'm not as naturally beautiful as you. It takes a little more work to make me presentable. Looking forward to tonight. I Love You. Alex. xxx"

She sees Alex. Clean shaven, hair tied back. Dressed in smart jeans, long-sleeve shirt and tie and a waistcoat. Lexi would have never seen Alex so immaculately groomed.

Alexis: You look... wow... very handsome. But how did you get out there?

Alex: Um.... climbed out my bedroom window, dropped onto the balcony below.... convinced the couple who lived there to let me in.... ran up here..... no big deal... So you ready to go?
