Colin:"One of use questioned Alex about letting Gabe take the blame for his road rage...In response Alex had a damn brain aneurysm or whatever his damage is..."

he looks at Alexis

Colin:"...Sorry...Anyways, he's fine. Jillian is looking after him...Still, I can't say as his brother in-law I approve of what I heard happened on the way to the hospital.."

Alexis: I honestly have never seen him behave like that before. And it was all because some loudmouth jerk kept honking his horn and woke the babies. I was worried that wouldn't be the end of it.

Nikki suddenly bursts out.

Nikki: Not "one of us" it was me, alright. I was pissed and I wanted to let Alex know I was pissed. I just didn't expect him to try and take off on you, so I kept saying shit to get him to stop... and he just dropped.

Alexis looks startled.

Alexis: I... I see....

Colin looks at Nikki for a long moment, then turns to Alexis

Colin:"Either way, I don't like it, one bit. I'm sure those concerns mean less to some then it does to others but still, he put man through a car window because he honked his horn. I don't care how anybody tries to defend those actions, that is far to alarming for me to not be concerned Alexis."

Alexis: I know. I already talked to him about it, asked him if that's the kind of example he wants to set for our children. He agreed it wasn't, and got very upset about it. He always wants to set things right, which I'm sure is why he tried to go get Gabe.

Nikki: Gabe told Alex to continue to the hospital, that he'd take care of everything. That's when the cops showed and the jackass was more than happy to let them arrest Gabe, that it didn't matter so long as some "roider" got arrested, even though Gabe did nothing but call Alex off. For all I was mad at Alex, it was all I could do not to wrap the steering wheel around the asshole's throat.

Nikki: What damned thing? Alex way overreacted, Gabe got caught in it... by choice, I guess. And I got mad at Alex for it. Doesn't seem like anything that's going to blow up, unless the jackass tracks Alex's car or something.

Ashley:"Jail? Should I be concerned that you blow that off as no big deal me boy?"

Gabe: Meh, it's not like I was in Jail jail. The chief of police, a very cute girl when I knew her out at USC, gave me a really good rub down...and I got released on differed bail. I know like...mostly all the officers at that station. They...kinda extradited me and Mandy when we...kinda impersonated the Pope.

Colin:"You don't think I don't feel the same way? You don't think I want to speak my mind for what happened? Come on! Those are my nieces and nephews there for crying out loud Nikki! I'm pissed. But I know full well that if I even DARED say a damned thing it would just end up biting me in the ass some how. I don't know how it happens but that's what would happen! Do you have any idea how frustrating that is? Do you have any damn idea how frustrating it is feel like speaking your mind, when you know you are right, is going to just cause problems because you know that nobody that can change anything is going to not put their own first no matter WHAT they did or did not do? Huh? I don't want to walk on eggshells but if it finally means some peace, screw it. I'll just swallow my damn pride, grow grey young, and die of a stress filled heart attack at fifty. And you know why?"

He points to the cradle

Ashley:"Uh dare I even ask why you were there this time?"

Colin:"Because I don't want them to go through another twenty years of the same bull!"
