he hands the phone to Cynthia

Cynthia: He had this strange sort of idea of wanting to meet my family. It turns out that my father is a client of Ben's, so we met my parents at Ben's house and Sexton came along with the ride. From what I understand it is somehow very important to the Skull and Bones fraternity that Sexton and I be together. I, of course, refused.
