He leads her into the house, surveying the scene. All in all nothing seems to out of place although its obvious Caley's people...or somebody at least...went through some of Colin's things.

Colin:"I just...I did think it was going to end like that. When he fired that gun I thought....I thought that was it. I was dead.....And then...."

Amber: Well, there was the whole, "I love you" aspect of it...but...more than that...you were probably the first guy that ever saw me as more than...just an object. I was...a thing to people. My father and his...hands...my mother and her failed lifestyle....and every other man that wanted me to dance for them, touch them...

...but you...you just wanted to...rest with me. You just wanted to....hold me and talk...I'd...I'd never had that before. No one ever cared what I had to say. I never had friends that look like your sister or Amanda, or Nikki or...Jessica. You opened a new world to me, Colin. That's why.

Amber: No...what I ment by that was...a lot of my...clients wante me to call them...'daddy' or 'father'...so....ew....you know? My real dad...he was great. I just...wanted to explore the world...and myself and he didn't really want me to leave home.

Amber leans back with a smile...

Amber: This is going to sound weird...but...her smell. She always was in the kitchen, baking...so she...always smelled like cookies or flour....it just...felt like home. She...she loved the whole 1950's thing. She kept a beautiful home and garden. She loved to cook and bake....but don't get me wrong, she was all woman. She liked working out and swimming...but she liked collecting recipies and scrapbooking. I...kind of aspire to that...
