A taxi cab pulls up. Colin and Micah walk out
"I still can't believe they made you go through the metal detector that many times...Anyways, this is the place."

The plane ride down was nice...but what was nicer was the little...meeting in the airport. Micah thinks back to a beautiful girl at the American Airlines counter...with a curiously slight hint of a British accent. Micah was able to help clear up her transfer to Chicago and the two actually had a very nice lunch. Colin, however...had perfect timing...

Colin: Come on man, that's our flight. First class awaits.

Micah: I'm so sorry we have to cut our lunch short. It was...very refreshing talking to you...miss?

Girl: Forgive me...I didn't tell you my name. I'm Amanda.

Micah: Well, hello Amanda. Micah.

Amanda: Really? My brother knows a Micah...huh. Small world, huh?

Micah: I guess it is. You have a...safe trip, alright?

She smiles...

Amanda: Thank you. You too...

Micah smiles at the thought...

Micah: You just had to mess my lunch up with that girl, didn't you?

Colin smirks
"If I tell you now that I know who she is, you'll likely try to drown me in my own pool...Come on I'll give you the tour."

Micah: So...when do I get to meet her?

[Jabberwocky]

Colin:"Who? The one who you seem to believe is in some secret relationship with me? Or the girl that actually made you smile...again.
I can make both happen. The second might take a bit longer though...Where was she flying too again?"

[Cryonix]

Micah: No no...your girl man. I'm curious now. Everytime I mention her...you either try to change the subject or get weak...it's almost cute.

Colin shrugs
"Well shes already on her way. I think she might be bringing a friend too. So, you know...be hospitable."

[Cryonix]

Micah: Colin...I...I'm not looking for that right now. I just...need to be away from women in that capacity for awhile...

Colin smirks
Colin:"I meant be friendly not...that."

hours later a white taxi cab pulls up and a slender redhead in a tight navel exposing "Social Distortion" white tee, black capris, and pink Converse All-star hi-top shoes steps out.

"Well, this is the place..come on out."
A voice in the cab responds
"I'm still mad at you."
"For what?"
"Making me fly all the way there just so you had somebody to fly with..."
"Oh don't be such a baby. With that deal it didn't cost any extra. Besides, you always wanted to fly across the country"
"...Bitch. I had plans."
"What, brunch with mommy or dinner with daddy?"
"The only reason I'm leaving this cab is to kick your ass."

Micah and Colin have spent most of the day by the pool and the grill. The smell of grilled shrimp, burgers and chicken breasts fill the outside patio. They've also spent most of the afternoon talking. It's been rather relaxing...

Micah: Oh...I think that's the doorbell ringing, Colin. So hurry up! The lime rice is almost done for the garlic shrimp...

Colin:"Er, right..hang on.."

Colin lets the redhead in, greeting her with a soft kiss. He then looks disappointed
Colin:"Thought you were bringing a friend. You know three's a crowd."

"Oh she's being stubborn...COME ON!"

moments later Colin walks in with the redhead girl
Colin:"Well Micah meet Amber. Amber, Micah."

Amber:"Pleasure"

Colin:"And her friend..how the hell you two meet again?"

Amber:"School. Oh there's Amanda."

Following behind is beautiful but frustrated and tired looking blonde

Micah greets the two with a warm smile. He is plating up the rice and the shrimp, as well as a couple of burgers, chicken and is starting to clean the grill for a very intresting grilled dessert...

Micah: Welcome. Um...the food is done so if you guys want to help yourselfs? There is also grilled asparagus on the table. I've got to start working on the peaches and pineapple for dessert.

Neither girl is shy about filling up her plate and starting to eat
Colin turns to Micah

Colin:"So?"

[Cryonix]

Micah: Amber is cute, man! This...Amanda girl...

...you had me scared by that. I thought it was the girl from the airport...

...She seems...like she doesn't want to be here. She seems a little uncomfortable.

Colin:"I'm sure she'll mellow down. And you thought it was Amanda Edwards?"
Colin laughs as he fills a plate up

[Cryonix]

Micah: Don't laugh, man! That's not...

...wait...Amanda who?

Colin looks at Micah with a confused look
Colin:"I thought you knew her man! That was Amanda Edwards. The girl at the airport. I've known her from years back....actually umm...she's kind of the reason that Ewan doesn't fancy me much. Paranoid bastard, we didn't even do anything..."

[Cryonix]

Micah: Great...that's just wonderful. Look...you go entertain your guests, brother. I'm going to finish up these peaches and pineapples on the grill. A little grilled pound cake and some vanilla bean ice cream...and we have dessert...

not bad for a last meal....if I do say so myself...

Colin shakes his head
Colin:"You ever going to get that surgery man?"

[Cryonix]

Micah is flipping the peaches when he looks at Colin with an odd smirk...

Micah: What in the blue hell are you talking about? Oh...girls...how's the food?

Colin smirks
Colin:"You know, to get what ever is up your ass removed."


Amber:"This is amazing."
Amanda:"Are you a chef Micah?"

Micah: Thank you ladies. No, a personal friend is an executive chief. He taught me enough to...get by.

Micah finishes up the grilled dessert, puts it in the freezer to set and he and Colin join the ladies at the table.

Micah: So, Amber....how did you and Colin meet? He really seems to like you...

Amber:"Oh we met through his aunt.."

Colin glances over at Amber

Amanda:"You have to give me some of these recipes"
