Connor:"Wishing I knew what my place in the family is in the future. I know I'll always be part of the family, however I am also aware of the duties that this familys members have had to take on in the past and also that won't die with this generation. I'm not sure if its a concern, I just don't want to be caught off guard. I'd rather be prepared for whatever is to happen."

Alex: Hmmmmn.... how to put it.....

....Well as you know Connor..... we are descended from a great knight..... we honor his ways.....model our lives on his code of ethics..... we preserve a lost culture.

We follow the way of the warrior.... but none of us are actually knights.... we simply keep that approach to life alive.

....in much the same way the Legacy would once have been considered to be the Lord and Master of the family..... but I am the lord and master of no-one..... we no longer live in an age where the "man of the house" controls the destinies of everyone in his family..... we keep the spirit, the essence of the traditions alive..... butwe have evolved with the times.

now, the Legacy is..... a father, a teacher, and a source of support...... you know, like Grandpa Ewan.....

The injury is difficult for me for a different reason.... because..... well..... I loved fighting so much...... I wanted more than anything to compete..... to win championships.... not because it was expected of me.... but because it was what I wanted.... wrestling was a big part of who I was....it was my identity and without it..... I sometimes felt..... feel...... incomplete

Alex: It's hard to explain.... perhaps incomplete isn't the best way of putting it..... I don't know if there is a word for it.....

..... but you see Connor.... even I have insecurities.... things about ourselves we're not certain of.... everyone does. That doesn't make you any less of an Edwards.

Alex: I'm certain that no-one can care for my wife and my children and my family, like I can..... I am certain that there is no length that I wont go to, to keep them safe and happy.... I am certain about these things my son.... and these are the things that truly matter.... if you are sure of these things.... then any other concern is but a minor annoyance
