A Glimpse of the Future....

The crowd is heavy with anticipation. The first fighter has made his way into the ring constructed of teenage boys and girls. He's trying to pump the crowd up as they listen to a D.J. blast music in the background...when suddenly...

D.J.: Ladies and Gentlemen....it's time, baby. We are honored that he's here....place your bets now! San Diego....West Coast....now entering the ring...undefeated at throwdowns all over the world....

The second fighter doesn't hear anything from underneath his red hoodie. He stands there and clenches his fists together, checking the tightness of the gauze on them. He smirks as his music plays from the D.J. booth...

...and he walks out, head down into adoration. On the way to the ring, a beautiful girl stops him by the arm....

Girl: You know we need to be back in the hotel by 2 A.M. or mother and father will have our heads.

Fighter: You worry too much, Liz. This won't take but a moment. At least let me enjoy it...

Liz: Always wanting to fight...ever since you were a baby, Nicholas...

Another, near identical girl stands next to the first.

Girl: Give it up Lizzie. When he smells a fight, no one is going to stop him.

A boy, the same age as the other three looks on towards the ring

Boy:"You realize this is all a facade right?"

The second girl looks at the new voice oddly.

Girl: What are you talking about? Just because it doesn't count for anything professionally doesn't mean it's not real.

[Cryonix]

Nicholas: Of course...here comes fuckin' 'superman', wanting to ruin my fun. You just sit back and watch, brother...how a real FIGHTER takes care of things.

[Pockets]

The girl looks unhappy to see the two fighting... again.

Girl: Nick, come on... he's not holding you back....

Connor is calm and cool
Connor:"I never question your love of fighting, only your motives. Personal glory is only ever going to get you so far, brother."

Nicholas: If you say that...then you know nothing of our family, Connor. Personal glory....is family glory...and family is all that matters.

Nicholas continues to the ring where he destroys his opponent within three minutes...ensuring his undefeated record and the prize money....a cool five thousand dollars...

Nicholas: Heh...like I said....with time to spare. Now let's get back. Mom and Uncle Micah are judging the United Kung Fu Association National Championships in the morning....and some of us are competing.

Natalie: Which is why you felt the need to get your stuff out tonight, right? Wouldn't want you to feel left out.

Elizabeth puts her arm around Natalie...

Elizabeth: I just respect his pursuit of intellegence....though I'll tell you if we weren't related....Jessica would stand no chance...

Connor:"Come on let's get going guys. My motorcycles out back; I'll meet you there..."

Natalie smirks at Elizabeth as she heads out the entrance.

Natalie: Even if he wasn't married to Aunt Jessica, Uncle Jayden wouldn't look twice at you.

[Cryonix]

Elizabeth: Oh, he'd look twice...three times....possibly four. I'd make sure to give him full view too.

Elizabeth: There are no boys in high school like him at all. Such a shame. Lucky for you, Nat...there are tons of wanna be emos in school! You'll find your Micah in no time!

Natalie chuckles.

Natalie: You do realize Uncle Jayden likes smart girls, right? He is so far out of your league it's not funny. Oh wait, yes it is.

Nicholas: Would you two damn bickering birds come on?!?! If dad hasn't woken up yet...mom will probably be finishing registration. Come on!

Connor looks back
Connor:"Are we going, or are you going to keep jerking like a bunch of perverts? Come on."

The four of them walk to the winnings booth and collect their winnings as they have done time and again before. They head to their rented cars...

Nicholas: So next week, Chicago? Is Natalie fighting in the throwdown...or can we convince almighty Connor to dirty his hands?

Connor:"That's the nicest thing you've ever said about me..."

Nicholas: ...Don't get used to it, 'Honey Bear'.
