Nicholas sits down on the ground...

Nicholas: Well...I have to admit...at first I thought it was owed to me. I was the strongest, gave into the training the most, stayed the longest. I know that was a wrong way of thinking now.....thanks to Uncle Gabe and about ninety seven suplexes. As I sat in the salts....I always went back to being a kid....sitting in the hall and looking at those who lead our family. I guess...I've always wanted to be as worthy of it as they were. Like you. Heh....I guess....I want to be it....because I love my Mom...and Dad....and my siblings. I love my family...I'm proud of it.

I...go about showing it the wrong way sometimes....but...that doesn't change my feeling.

Ewan: You know Nicholas.....that is a lovely sentinment..... but allow me to tell you..... being the Legacy, is a somewhat moot concept now..... it was once a reflection on the one man who bore on his shoulders all of that history.... all of our ways and displayed them to the world...... but our family has grown beyond that.... so many worthy candidates..... each different.... but wanting the same thing, the betterment of the ones we care for. In a way, all who are born of our blood is the Legacy.... as you all carry our ways with you..... in your own way. The title itself now..... makes you more of a single voice for the mass.... the Legacy is not a dictatopr making unilateral decisions.... but simply the thread that binds us all.

It is not a trophy to be won.... or a goal to be strived for.... it does not set you above any other member of your family.... and it is certainly nothing to place a burden on your own shoulders for..... that is something that it took me a lifetime to figure out..... it is something your father is still attempting to understand fully.

Just live by our ways grandson.... strive to be the best you, that you can possibly be....but always be you.....and always seek your happiness and the happiness of your family.... that is all we want for you young man.... our love of you is limitless and without condition..... it is not dependent on you reaching for a nonexistent brass ring......

Alex: lifts Connor's face to look at him and wipes his eyes.

Alex: No son.... we have no favourites.... you are all very different people.... and we express our affection differently accordingly..... but we love each and every one of you the same..... and until the day comes when you have children of your own.... you cannot even begin to fathom how much your mother and I love you Connor. We are just as proud of your achievements in parkour and scholastics as we are Natalie or Elizabeth's kung-fu.... or Nicholas' wrestling and MMA.... there is no-one who is prouder of you than your family..... your mother and I..... your uncles and aunts, grandparents, siblings....all of us Connor.

You are all unique.....and we are proud no matter what you wish to pursue.... so long as you're not a pimp or drug dealer or something like that.

He smiles.

Now..... apologise to your mother and sisters..... and come give your old man a hug huh?
