Once Alexis gets over there....she sees a crowd gathered....and Nicholas covered in soda, gravy and jello. He is totally red and shaking...and seems to be muttering over and over, "Don't lower yourself....don't lower yourself". The other teens continue to persist....

Teen 1: See....I told you he wasn't going to do anything. He a punk like his sisters....

Nicholas cracks his neck....

Nicholas: Must...........maintain........self.........control.....

Nicholas: Mom...Dad....thanks....but...if I'm going to be in the running for the thing I want the most.....I have to learn to control my temper. So.....thank you Dad....but, I'll pass. I just....need to wash up and calm down. Maybe I'll....just take a quick walk outside and a couple of deep breaths. Besides...I'll still get a chance to defend my family....

....and there is nothing I'd want to do more than that....
