Connor stretches his arms, rotating his head a bit to stretch his neck

Connor:"You don't seem to mind when I do this at home..."

Alex: Good... that shall be your response whenever boys mention...... "gift baskets"

Alexis: Because we're not twenty floors up at home. Come on off of there. We're leaving soon, and we got some bad news.

Natalie: That's a new one.

Connor:"...Fine..."

Connor places both hands firmly on the flat edge of the pillar, his arms stiff as he does a handstand. He looks straight down 20 stories as he does a perfect handstand split, holding it for several seconds before pushing back landing on the balcony

Connor gets a mom glare from Alexis.

Alexis: You're asking for a longer grounding, mister.

[Jabberwocky]

Connor:"Just my routine...Umm so whats the bad news?"

[Pockets]

Alexis: Your dad just got a call... both Mr. and Mrs. Gains died.

Connor:"...Uh...Oh, you mean that couple that brought you guys groceries while umm...



Right?"

[Pockets]

Alexis makes a face.

Alexis: Very nice, Connor... and yes. Wait, how did you know about that?

Connor shrugs

Connor:"Liz's reaction to what dad said was a pretty easy clue..."

Alexis: So you were listening.

[Jabberwocky]

Now he makes a face

Connor:"...I walked right in the middle of you all while you were talking..."

Alexis: And you wandered past looking as if you were sleepwalking.

[Jabberwocky]

Connor:"...You thought I was sleepwalking and you let me walk out onto the balcony?"

he shakes his head

"Wow mom...just..wow.."

[Pockets]

Alexis: Why did you think I followed you?

[Jabberwocky]

Connor:"After the fact mom, after the fact."

he smirks

[Pockets]

Alexis: Hurry up and get dressed. We're waiting on you... and you don't have the luxury of getting there on your own right now.

Connor disappears then comes back mere moments later fully dressed in jeans a rage against the machine tshirt and a black hoodie. He walks out the door ahead of everyone else.

The Valley View Casino Center in San Diego is abuzz with many martial artists and teams and fans. The place is filling up to capacity....a full seventeen thousand people and competitors. The Edwards family arrives just in time to see Micah finishing off his advanced weapons seminar....

Micah: Ladies and gentlemen remember. Your weapon is an part of you. The more you practice with it...and the more you understand the movements your performing with it.....the more you will understand yourself...and martial arts as a whole. Alright?

Students: SHI, SIFU!

Micah: Excellent. Dismissed.

[Pockets]

Natalie runs right up to Micah.

Natalie: Hi Uncle Micah!

[Jabberwocky]

Connor simply waves to his uncle as he walks past, looking at the wall of photos in the back

Micah finishes off his Gatorade and looks over...

Micah: Hey, Natalie! I was wondering when you guys were going to make it! If you guys hurry, you'll be able to see Mandy in the Adult breaking finals...

[Jabberwocky]

Connor:"Aunt Mandy breaking adults more likely...Heh..."

[Pockets]

Natalie: We got some bad news, that's why we were late.

[Cryonix]

Micah: Yeah, you're kind of right about that Connor. The people in the semifinals were a little stunned when she broke through nine cement blocks.

Micah knees down and looks at Natalie with a sad smile...and those eyes...
