Alexis tries to take deep breaths.

Alexis: But which way is forward?

Nikki looks both amused and annoyed.

Nikki: For the 20th time I am aware of the garlic bread! If you don't want me eating yours you'll shut up about it.

Gabe: You don't think I want you eating my turgid breadstick, Nikki? Doused with garlic butter?

Jillian: You are no longer a little girl, Alexis. You're a married woman. That's a question you're going to have to figure out.

Micah continues to smoke, away from the food so he doesn't get ashes in it. Gabe looks over at Alex...

Gabe: Yeah...you do look a bit...different, man. Did I miss something?

Alex: Lexi hates me so I punched Ashley O'Ryan in his fuckin mouth....

Gabe is eating his Lasagna...

Gabe: Dude, she just had your kids. I doubt Lexi hates you. I'm sure she's still heavy on the mood swings. Damn...this food is good....

Alex is pacing like a caged tiger swearing angrily to himself.

[Pockets]

Nikki almost chokes on her garlic bread.

Nikki: Usually asking if I missed something is a rhetorical question... wow. Alright, I want details.

Moira watches the scene in the room, the corners of her mouth twitching, as she lulls the babies back to sleep.

Alex explains what happened to Nikki as Ewan joins the baby lulling efforts.

[Pockets]

Nikki: I'm siding with Gabe on this. I doubt she hates you. There's been way too much drama today, and only so much a person can take at once. You of all people should know that.

Alexis: Well, since I'm discharged I need to get some air... try and untangle this mess in my head. Mom's taking care of the babies.

She wanders outside and sees Colin.

Alexis: Hey, big brother.

[Jabberwocky]

Colin doesn't look over at her

Colin:"I am dead aren't I? I died; and this is my hell."

[Pockets]

Alexis sighs.

Alexis: You're not dead.

She cracks half a smile.

Alexis: You think I would be in your hell? Gee, thanks.

[Jabberwocky]

Colin:"Seeing my little sister in a situation like she is. Married into a family that hates her family to the point of violence...even if they...or some of them...had it coming apparently...Being hated myself...Yeah this is my idea of hell."

[Pockets]

Alexis: You hated dad to the point of violence... but yeah, in the past year you'd become his biggest cheerleader. Especially to Mandy, apparently. So, in certain eyes you became an extension of dad, I guess.

[Jabberwocky]

Colin:"It's so confusing..do I hate him or not? When...I saw your kids...and him...I had flashbacks...Him kicking Jillian...But you seemed so convinced that everything was fine...Its like...I don't know if I want to hate him, but in the past 20 or so minutes suddenly I'm expected to, and so are you..."

[Pockets]

Alexis: We did... you know we did. But he's not a drunk asshole any more. They can't seem to understand it's possible for someone to change, and that people can change opinions of other people. I'd given up trying to convince them of that... but you hadn't. Are you supposed to hate him? That's up to you. I'm not going to tell you that you have to or you can't. I'm just letting you know why the Edwards look at you the way they do.

[Jabberwocky]

Colin:"They secretly love that this happened to me don't they?...Not just because I don't know whats up or down anymore but because it hurts him...I saw Amanda's reaction when I defended the kids from dad...I heard Alex call me an asshole...I'm here confused and they act all angry but deep down...they love this...I just...have this sick feeling in my gut..."

[Pockets]

Alexis: Anything that hurts dad they love. Any defense of him they can't stand. I've been trying to deny that for a while, but I can't anymore. But for all his hiding his feelings about dad, Alex would never have accepted his firstborn son being named for you if he truly hated you too.

[Jabberwocky]

Colin:"...He hates that he is named Connor?"

[Pockets]

Alexis: What?

[Jabberwocky]

Colin:"Alex. He hates that one of his sons is named after me?"

[Pockets]

Alexis: No, you misunderstood me. I said if he hated you Connor would never have been named Connor. There is no way any of our children would ever be named Ashley for instance.

[Jabberwocky]

Colin shakes his head
Colin:"From what I've seen...the only reason that happened was to "keep you happy"..."
he sighs
"Is it wrong that part of me wishes I had just stayed in a coma?"
he glances at Alexis
"...Sorry."

[Pockets]

Alexis: I still think that the line of keeping me happy would be drawn at the names. At least I hope so.

She frowns.

Alexis: No, I understand what you mean. Losing a year and coming back right into this would be hard on anybody.

[Jabberwocky]

Colin:"Especially when its basically the exact opposite of what you recall...For the worse..."

[Pockets]

Alexis: Just don't mention dad around them... at all.

Alex: Yeah.... but the last thing I wanted was to contribute to that....
