Cynthia: I don't remember the first time I met him, we were literally raised together. Of course I know why now. We played together as children, and as soon as I was old enough to go dating it was him or nobody... since my parents "trusted" him, ironic as it is. He was handsome and charming at first, so I didn't mind. But once we were married, everything changed. It wasn't so much that he laid a hand on me, but more that I was the wife and there were certain things as a wife I had to do. Namely stay at home and don't bother him about where he'd been. Sometimes he went on hunting trips and told me stories or went on legitimate business trips and brought me back trinkets from wherever he had been. But the nice parts about him returning got farther and farther apart, to where he seemed to resent me being me. But I was always his possession, to do as he wished with... even if it be to collect dust, forgotten. But, being his possession, who was I to leave?

Cynthia: I'm not sure how it worked, but father and Sexton's father were brothers in Skull and Bones.
