Ashley:"Alexis."
he steps away from the wall
Ashley:"I'm 'eading fer treatment back 'ome so I wanted so say goodbye."

Alexis looks past Ashley.

Alexis: Can you wait for a little? I need to find Alex a doctor....

She shifts her gaze to look at him.

Alexis: I will want to talk to you about something though.

She looks past him again and walks quickly down the hall.

Ashley:"Huh? Uh...alroit I'll just...wait..."

he stands in the hallway for about three minutes before slowly sticking his head into the room, seeing Alex on the bed

Ashley:"...'ow you feelin'?"

Alex vomits into a bedpan.

Alex: Been better..... you?

He walks into the room

Ashley:"Well, I'm not standing on the edge of a bridge..."

he takes the bed pan and cleans it out in the attached washroom, bringing it back and handing it to Alex

Ashley:"'ere."

Alex: Thanks.

He inhales sharply and covers his eyes.

Ashley:"If you mean incoherence, and vomiting...I'm very used to company loik that."

The Doctor comes in with Lexi close behind.

Doctor: OK Mr. Edwards, what appears to be wrong?

Alex: It's fine doctor, my fiance ran out before I could stop her. It's just a little PCS..... Migraine, probably stress induced.

Doctor: Symptoms?

Alex: Headache, pain behind the eyes, vomiting, light sensitivity.

Doctor: Seems like a solid diagnosis Mr. Edwards..... your mother taught you a thing or two. Probably should have told you to avoid stress.... your brain is still rather fragile, gotta play nice with it for a while.

Alexis: I was just afraid it was something worse.... I'm going to be right outside with dad, Alex. I need to talk to him. But if you need anything, I'll just be right out there.

Alexis looks at Ashley and nods in the direction of the door before walking out, glancing nervously at Alex through the doorway,

Ashley:"Well...if you ever do, and I pray you never do, try writing that wrong. If you try, only to find out that you will never be forgiven, then you know wot its loik to be me.
And if you finally realize that, and make it clear that you don't want that forgiveness anymore...only to be made to feel pitiful fer even wanting it in the first place...Or not even fer asking fer it. Just fer 'aving tried so many times before that all thats equated with you now is one of those things you can never undo and and the trainwreck of failed friendships and a marriage.
To 'ave that thrown in yer face by somebody, even when you've complied with the wishes to just give up on those attempts...then you'll really know wot its loik."
