Groupies don't stay and talk. They don't bring you food. They don't nurture. She cares. She cares and she doesn't have to. So that means she must want to.

"She has to, she's a nurse."

How many nurses stay with a patient when they are off duty? How many would show that much interest in you personally?

Ashley lays down, looking at the ceiling....in a few moments he is asleep

A few days later, Ashley is up and around, walking in his room. Its been rough...but the process of recovery has started. Naomi's been by every day this week either with fresh fruit, apple juice or some great dinner to get rid of the taste of hospital food. Today, Naomi shows up after her shift...with...oh, thank God...

...fresh made pizza...

Naomi: I thought we'd do Italian tonight...

Naomi: That's sweet of you to say. How are you feeling today? I would have stopped in earlier...but...it was a very difficult day in the E.R.

Naomi feels his knee give way a little bit, and she wipes some of the tears from her eyes. She smiles at Ashley and helps him sit back in his chair...

Naomi: I'm...I'm sorry. I forgot about your knee. Look, let me go um...find some wrap and we'll elevate it.
