Alex can't help but grin at Shawn's comment.

Alex: Yup.... seems he made it out relatively unscathed too. I always get this weird queasy feeling whenever Amanda's worried about something.....twin thing..... but nope.... nothing..... or at least nothing she's worried about, and she knows him a hell of a lot better than I do.

Alex: Ok... I'll be right back.

Alex casually walks out of the room but as the door closes behind him, he sprints out of the apartment, not even pausing to put on a shirt. He runs out of the building, noticing the old man in the aparatment below his saluting on the balcony. Alex runs into the Deli across the street quickly picks up a couple of sausage and egg bagels and a gouple of bottles of gatorade. He pays with a $100 bill and doesn't stop for change. He runs back to the apartment and is back in the room in exactly 6 minutes and 23 seconds.

Alex hands Alexis a bagel, and perches himself on the edge of the bed. Downing one of the bottles of Gatorade in one giant gulp.

Alex throws the bottle in the trash can on the opposite side of the room. He props himself up on the bed next to Alexis and plants a quick peck on the cheek.

Alex: Never better.

He sits and watches her eat intently.
