Doctor: Well...if we can't remove the poison in his system before it corrodes his tear ducts....yes...there's a possiblity that he could lose his sight.

After finishing dinner, Jillian picks up the phone....

Jillian: Dr. Edwards...

Jillian: He relapsed? H....alright...alright. Well, I can only think that the medications given him had a bad reaction to the heroin. Crying the stuff? Must the the corrsion of the tear ducts. The only thing that they can really do now is basically put a cathater in his chest...and perform dyalisis to completley clean his blood stream...

The Doctor basically confirms Jillian's diagnosis...

Erin: Do it.

Alex: They love you too Shawn.....mum's still treating you over the phone..... you're gonna be fine.

Doctor: We will need to set up some things....it'll take a little bit of time. However...I will not lie to you. The cathater placement must be in his chest to get the blood pumping into his heart quickly. The placement of the cathater....will be painful for him.

Doctor: Mrs. Cortez? I'm Dr. Gupta, Co Cheif of Staff here at Royal London Hospital. You had me paged?

Erin: Hello Dr. Gupta. I wanted to speak to you about a member of your staff Dr. Ross.... before I begin.... for the sake of being upfront.... I should inform you.... that my surname is in fact, Edwards.

Dr Gupta: Yes, I know. I've seen you on the paitent roll, Mrs. Cortez....I'm sorry, Miss Edwards. It's...quite strange the Jillian had been brought up on these...charges...but I'm sure you understand that I have to investigate all claims. Now...how can I help you?

"Edwards? I should have know you'd be related to....her. Ugh..."

"Well, obviously the woman that was here earlier was much nicer...and much more concerned about his well being. Much more than...that so called 'proud and stuck up' family of Jillian's. Hell...he doesn't even look like he belongs with you people"

Erin: Initially I was upset that she didn't read her notes clearly enough to notice that I am Mr Cortez's legal next of kin and as such all treatment options should be discussed with me and not.... other individuals as she had been doing. But following her adequate performance in my husband's recent Code.... it seems like a rather trivial charge.... but what I do not find trivial is that this woman is attempting to destroy a phenomenal Doctor's career.... over what you have just heard is a personal grudge against Dr. Edwards and her family

Alex: Relax Lexi it wasn't a personal slight.... it's medical procedure.... Erin is Shawn's next of kin and it was careless of the doctor to miss that..... what if the "other individual" hadn't been Raquel..... what if it was Caley deciding what treatment Shawn gets and doesn't get?

Dr. Gupta: I see. This is a very gross oversight of ethics here. I will look into it straight away. Dr. Ross?

The two of them leave the room. Shawn exhales deeply...
