Alex pulls Lexi onto the bed with him.

Alex Well for starters I don't want to snuggle with any of my other nurses...... and they sure as hell don't have your knack of making me feel better just by being here.

she looks at Erin

Raquel:"Erin, please. Wait."

She looks back at Shawn

"Erin is the mother of your sons. She loves you. I know that better then ever now."

she looks at Erin, walking over to her and kneeling to eye level

"I love him too, with all my heart, with...with everything I have. I...I want you to be part of his life, no matter what happens. I wont make him forget his first family for me. I never wanted him to do that. I love him, and I want to marry him. I'm carrying our child. But I don't want you to feel like you are out of his life."

Erin: You..... you think this is about.... me being concerned that you'd keep Shawn out of his family's life? His family wouldn't allow it.... hell you're delusional if you think Shawn would allow it. Did you stop to think about why after all these years.... I still call him my husband. You don't need to know the specifics of our marriage.... all you need to know is that I didn't want it to end.... it ended because I thought he wanted it to end...... But there's never been anyone but him..... and there never will be.... He's my world Raquel..... I have no life without him..... and no.... I'm not talking about the "I'm still on good terms with my ex" way that you were implying..... I'm sorry but that's how it is.

Alex smiles at Alexis.

She stands up and sits down

"I didnt mean that against you. I know what you mean. But after all this, I don't think I can...whats the saying? Stiff upper lip?"

Erin lowers her voice and speaks calmly.

Erin: You can't hold it together for him? Your fiancee.

You think I wasn't upset? I was married to this man for 20 years..... you bet your ass I was upset..... but I held it together..... FOR HIM.

When you were at the day spa..... and he was laying here in pain.... I was here.

When you chose to run off after your cousin, when there were already people handling the situation..... and he was laying here dying..... I was here.

When they were ramming tubes into your fiancee's chest, and you ran off down the hall to escape the screaming.... I was stood at that door speaking to him.

When the blood was being pumped out of his chest.... and you were flinching away with tears in your eyes..... I was here holding his hand..... letting him break it..... because it made him feel better if only for a second.

All this while my nephew is in a bed across the hall.....

..... I did not shed a single tear not because I don't care..... but because I DO..... he needs someone to take care of him.... he shouldn't have to take care of you right now..... and you say "You can't keep a stiff upper lip"
